Attorney Amber D. Walden is the Founder and Managing Member of Family Law Office of Training and Education Services, LLC (FLOTE Services). Atty. Walden brings to her work a unique combination of legal, business, and leadership experience, along with a deep commitment to helping others grow professionally and personally in their legal career in Juvenile Court.
Experience:
Atty. Walden has over fifteen years of extensive experience practicing in Juvenile Court in DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Clayton, Rockdale, and Gwinnett Counties, representing parents and children in child abuse and neglect cases. Cases types vary, and range from custody to physical and emotional abuse, to moral and educational neglect issues.
Atty. Walden serves as Guardian ad Litem in case originating in Juvenile Court, as well as Superior Court transfers to Juvenile Court for cases involving divorce and custody dispute issues. Atty. Walden also handles cases transferred from Probate Court to Juvenile Court when critical outstanding issues need to be addressed as it relates to granting, denying or dissolving Temporary Letters of Guardianship. As a Guardian ad Litem, Atty. Walden seeks to ensure that the child’s best interests are protected. As client-directed Child Attorney, Atty. Walden advocates for the child’s express wishes in dependency cases arising out of state involvement as a result of child abuse and/or neglect.
In addition to counseling her clients as an attorney, for the past ten years, Atty. Walden has been deeply committed to mentoring and coaching other attorneys, holding leadership and support positions in non-profit organizations, and collaborating with other organizations and agencies by organizing, facilitating and directing Parent Attorney trainings and workshops.
